Why reusable plastic cups? Paper bags are already sustainable. Or are they not?
According to the WWF fact sheet “Reusable” (as of June 2023), the proportion of reusable solutions in restaurants/catering is < 1%. Unfortunately, this is in favor of disposable packaging made of paper composite materials, which end up in residual waste after use and are therefore not recycled. The circulation rate of reusable packaging has a major influence on the ecological benefits of a reusable system. The more material-intensive and heavier the packaging, the more important it is to have a high circulation rate (source: ifeu). Our reusable plastic cups are therefore the most ecologically sensible solution due to their low weight.
